I see these images as gifts and having a life of their own. The original image speaks out to be used. Little else would hint at the possible potential hidden in the image. Excitement is generated when the result starts to appear. For me, this is similar to the thrill that occurs when a silver print emerges in the developer.
The original concept emerged from making collages. The single images themselves were captured without the consideration of being used in a composite composition. I attempt to do as little manipulation as possible other than the standard corrections given to a digital image in the the creation of the composite. I follow my intuition and allow myself to be guided into what unfolds.
