When was the last time that you sat down with your spouse, friend, or even a stranger and truly engaged in a conversation with them?
In a conversation a person's eyes will express a range of emotion- from the sparkle of enjoyment to the wearied look of a long day. E-mail, text messaging, cell phones, and electronic classrooms have replaced that special connection we have with each other. It is hoped by viewing these images that this connection will be renewed.
“Community in a Digital Age” is an installation piece. The installation consists of ten individual pieces, which are hung from the ceiling at various heights. An individual piece includes two images mounted on the front and back of a stiff material. The installation has been placed in a hallway and a foyer. It can be placed in an intimate room where viewers can walk among them.
